Melanie’s Story: Trading Frustration for Transformation

Melanie’s Story
By training smarter, Melanie became stronger, faster, and pain-free.
Meet Melanie.
Melanie is just like so many of us—a woman in her 50s who loves agility and wants to play the game as well as she can.
But as time went on, she started to feel like her body was working against her. Injuries popped up more often, extra weight made running harder, and the natural shifts that come with aging started to slow her down.
For years, she was told the answer was to work harder—to push through, train more, and grind it out.
But no matter how much effort she put in, she kept running into the same struggles. Instead of progress, she found frustration. She started wondering if this was just the new normal.
So we took a different approach. Instead of forcing her body through intense workouts, she focused on doing beginner workouts well. She stepped back in intensity and approached fitness holistically—not just pushing through, but truly caring for her body.
And that changed everything.
As she built strength, her hip and foot pain disappeared. She started moving better, running better, and feeling better. Instead of worrying about injuries, she found herself moving with confidence. And the best part? She didn’t have to push herself into exhaustion to make it happen.
Now, instead of holding back out of fear, Melanie is pushing her body further than she ever thought she could. She’s training harder, feeling stronger, and playing agility like the phenom she is. A few small adjustments to her diet have helped her feel lighter and more energized, and she describes it as feeling 20 years younger.
But the real transformation? Her mindset.
Heading into menopause is a time of massive change for women. Our bodies shift, our abilities fluctuate, and sleep can be a struggle. It’s easy to feel frustrated or disconnected. But because Melanie is caring for herself in a way that truly supports her body and mind, she feels strong, capable, and confident in her own skin.
She’s not just playing agility better—she’s living better.
And really, that’s the best gift we can give ourselves. And, the best gift I could ever give any client I work with.
