The Experience Behind My Coaching

You’re working with a coach who understands the demands of dog sport.

20+ years as a certified personal trainer
20,000+ coaching hours
3,000+ handlers helped

My expertise and education in:

Running gait analysis, pelvic floor corrective exercise, osteoporosis training, fascia work, mobility, and advanced programming.

Before specializing in dog sport handlers, Liz competed at the international level in Olympic Powerlifting and wrestling bringing that same performance mindset to every program she builds.

Your plan is designed to help your body support the way you want to handle.

Since 2016, I’ve coached dog sport handlers to build strength, speed, and resilience that transfers to the ring.

Your Body Is Welcome Here

I live with Crohn’s Disease and have trained through surgeries, injuries, and the ups and downs of chronic illness and life.

I know what it feels like when your body doesn’t cooperate the way you want it to.

I’ve had to rebuild strength many, many times.

That experience taught me patience, smarter training, and how to move forward even when progress isn’t perfect.

You don’t have to arrive here with a perfect body.

If you’re dealing with injuries, setbacks, or limitations, we’ll build strength together in a way that is supportive, sustainable, and realistic.

Why I Coach Dog Sport Handlers

Dog sport handlers are some of the most dedicated athletes I know.

You invest enormous time, energy, and care into developing your dog and showing up for your sport.

But most of that focus goes to your dog, not to you.

You’re training, traveling, trialing, and doing whatever it takes to support your teammate.

You deserve the same level of support you give your dog.

My role is to help you stay strong, capable, and resilient with workouts that fit your life and directly support the sport you love.

Ready to feel stronger, faster, and more capable? Let’s get started.

Frequently Asked Questions

One of my best friends is an agility handler, and through her I met more and more people in the community. I saw this group of incredibly dedicated, passionate humans and also realized many of them didn’t have the physical literacy or support they needed. That’s where Canine Handler Fitness really started.

I’ve gotten so much out of dog sports, and I wanted to give back to a community that means a lot to me. Agility handlers are incredibly dedicated, and I saw an opportunity to support them on the physical side helping them move better, feel stronger, and get the results they deserve after all their hard work with their dogs.

A big one is thinking they just need to sprint more. Speed matters, but it’s not the whole picture. Without strength and control, more speed just creates more chaos or increases injury risk. When you build strength first, speed becomes easier and much more effective.

Because the workouts they’re doing or being given are often designed for lifelong athletes with a solid base. Not for where they’re at right now. The key is starting at the right level, building strength and coordination first, and progressing from there so your body can actually adapt.
