From back pain to breaking limits—how Stacy built strength, resilience, and a powerful partnership with Prize.

Meet Stacy.

Stacy Barnett’s dog, Prize, is everything her breed is meant to be—driven, athletic, and unstoppable. She deserves to be challenged, to have her genetics honored, and to do the work she was born for. Stacy was determined to give her that, but there was one problem—her back pain was holding her back.

When we started working together in December 2022, Stacy’s injury was limiting her ability to train, move, and fully commit to her goals. She was in big pain first thing in the morning, she was woken several times per night, she couldn’t hinge at the hip and needed to be mindful of the smallest movements. Instead of pushing through discomfort, we focused on progressive, intelligent core and glute training to build the stability she needed. And once that foundation was set? She took off.

Fast forward to today, and Stacy and Prize just certified as a Wilderness Air Scent K9 team!

And in true Stacy fashion, she didn’t stop there. She built out a full gym corner in her house and has completely leveled up in every way. Over the last two years, she has:

✔ Passed her SAR certification, searching over 100 acres of rugged terrain while carrying a 30-pound pack
✔ Spent countless full days hiking through the woods for training
✔ Worked up to deadlifting 35 lbs for reps of 12
✔ Gained strength and stamina in every way
✔ Lost 20 lbs
✔ Made protein intake a non-negotiable in her daily routine boosting energy
✔ Reduced her back pain significantly

But the best part? Stacy no longer has to wonder, “Can I physically do this?”—she just goes for it.

And here’s the thing—you don’t need to have Search and Rescue aspirations to start prioritizing your fitness.
